Rhythm On Music We : Oh BeautifulPerson/to Beautiful Song (KO,1970,re.2010)***°

This is a good, inspired, sensitive folk singer-songwriter album of voice and two acoustic guitars mostly. Most songs are sung by male voice, some are female voice. The third track has rewarding dark melancholy parts in the song. Some songs have more simple, more naive and sing-with-me melodies or are arpeggio-like with repetitive melodies, but in the folk album context this still is acceptable/enjoyable. Such tracks have organ or piano arrangements to the acoustic guitars too. The 7th track is arranged by acoustic guitar and a very resonating electric guitar. The 10th track is a more happy sing-along track with more singers and handclaps. The last four bonus tracks stand out very much and might all be from a different session with comparable arrangements. The first of these four is a melancholic song by a female voice with bowed cello and flute arrangements to the acoustic guitar. Also the second one (male voice) is with cello and acoustic guitar, and piano. Then there’s the sad female voice again, with piano only. The last, equally inspired dark sad track is accompanied by nice acoustic pickings. These tracks makes this album a real winner.
