A selection of some of the Japanese Folk Prog I discovered first : * Ayuo : Izutsu (acid Jap.folk) ***° Tzadik * Ayuo / Ohta Hiromi : Red Moon (JAP,2004)****° Described as a figure with a Moondog like importance using traditional Japanese folk in a very individual way (celtic harp, sitar-guitar, voice) More at next review page * Cinorama : Garden, The Garden ('95,avant prog folk) **** PSF Influences of traditional Japanese music, Buddhist songs, gentle in an improvising, free folk manner * Ghost : Temple Stone ('94,psych.folk) ***° PSF Rec. My favourite of his works I heard so far : psych folk with certain intensity and tendency to dark tension at the same time * J.A.Caesar (Tenyo Sajiki): Shintokumaru ('78,prog) ***** PSF * Tenjyo Sajiki : Den'en Ni Shisu (JAP,1974)***** First record is No-theatre with progressive music passages and Magma like tension.
