The Altin Mikrofon contest from the Hürriyet gazette and the releases that came forth from it are much more known as the Milleyet's contest and its releases.
The contest was held (mostly ? ) for highschool bands. The jury must have been very open minded. Where the Altin Mikrofon contest tried to stimulate the Anatolian folk / western crossovers, Milleyet published also English (cover) songs, French songs, somewhat psychedelic and surely weird or odd recordings from groups with sometimes as odd names (like the L.S.D.Orchestra,..).
I don't have much information about the contest. And I also don't know much about how much releases were published either. Any additional information anyone can provide me in these pages will be credited. (E-mail me).
As far as I know no official compilations were made so far with the Milleyet releases. Original singles (in good condition) are very rare.
Here are some of the 1968 & 1969 releases (click albums for more information) :

I airplayed the A-side : an early 60's styled rock'n roll crossover song, with clearly a Shadows touch
MS-1008
Saint Joseph Lisesi
Persian Saclarin/Yavuz Gelior
1969
3009
Kadıköy Ticaret Lisesi - L.S.and D. / Sexy Girl
Milliyet had odd titles, songs in 1969, like this single for instance, with Cream, Steve Winwood / Eric Clapton / Jimmy Hendrix influences. "Sexy Girl" could be a different "Foxy Lady" version. Odd American styled voice reminds me at certain singers (don't remember right now). Recorded like a garage single. Pure in its Hendrix like playing with no extra (studio) effects.
3010
Alman Lisesi - My Year Is a Day / The Story About The Girl Counting Stars
3011-A
Mecidiyeköy Lisesi - Voices In The Sky
3011-B
Tarsus Amerikan Koleji - I Don't Care
Sweet American garage style, with nice organ.
3012-A
Fen Lisesi-With A Little Help From My Friends
3012-B
İzmir Koleji - Hesitation
3013-A
İstanbul Erkek Lisesi - Ask Your Mine
English freakbeat psych track. A bit like Creation / Small Faces / The Attack. There are no Turkish influences in this song any more. Other track by Istanbul Erkek Lisesi, "in the deepings" (Artwoods)could be found at the "Turkish Delights" CD. More info : http://progressive.homestead.com/Erkek_Lisesi.html
3013-B
Ankara Deneme Lisesi - La La La
Completely odd single. Very funny. A bit amateurish. Not to believe this won in a contest. Nothing but "lalala", schlager like melodies, but also odd/rhythm and tempo changes it changes suddenly in into rock'n roll-. Very enjoyable in fact.
MS 3014

1977
İstanbul Tekstil Meslek Lisesi Cem Karaca'nın Parka adlı çalışması ile 1977 yılının icra birincisi oldu.
1979
1. Ankara Koleji
not in this list :
* The Melofon Plak, TML-7006 (A-12/B-13)
L.S.D.Orkestrasi : Dönmeyen Sevgili / Neye Geldin Dünyaya
Rough Garage styled single (but with a bit naïve or childlike melody).
This last single is rumoured to be a Milliyet single, but that must be a misunderstanding, the label
is Melofon Plak.
